Terms of service

StockPilot helps a Shopify merchant manage suppliers, raise and print purchase orders, receive stock against those orders, run stocktakes, move stock between locations, apply bulk inventory corrections, calculate reorder recommendations and export inventory reports. Shopify remains the system of record for products, locations and inventory quantities. StockPilot reads those values live and writes back only the changes a merchant confirms in the app.

StockPilot holds Shopify permissions that let it set inventory quantities, create, dispatch and cancel inventory transfers, and create and receive in-transit inventory shipments. Every such change is initiated by a merchant action in the app and is recorded in the app's audit trail. Quantity changes are written to Shopify with a correction reason and a reference back to StockPilot, so the adjustment can be traced from Shopify's own inventory history. Committing a stocktake, a receipt or a bulk file changes real stock levels in your store. Review the preview before you commit.

Merchants are responsible for the accuracy of the supplier details, costs, counted quantities and imported files they enter, for checking a purchase order before it is sent to a supplier, for reviewing the preview shown before any inventory write, for their own agreements with their suppliers, and for using the app only for lawful business activity. Merchants must not enter data they have no lawful basis to hold, and should not paste customer personal data into free-text fields such as notes or the migration centre: StockPilot is not designed to hold customer data.

Reorder recommendations, days of cover and safety-stock figures are arithmetic outputs of the sales history, lead times and assumptions available to the app, and the formula behind each figure is shown alongside it. They are decision support, not advice or a guarantee of future demand. Purchasing decisions remain the merchant's own.

StockPilot is free to install and use. There is no subscription, no usage allowance and no charge through Shopify for this app, and StockPilot never receives or stores payment card details. If a paid tier is introduced in future, existing merchants will be told before any charge is approved, and Shopify's own billing approval will always apply.

We maintain and monitor the service but cannot promise uninterrupted availability of Shopify, its APIs, networks or the merchant's own systems. Shopify rate limits and outages can delay or block an operation, and the app will report that rather than guess. We may make proportionate changes needed for security, compatibility or reliability.

Fleeta Limited processes store data on the merchant's instructions to provide the service, subject to the privacy policy, Shopify's requirements and applicable data-protection law. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is stored, what is only read from Shopify, who it is shared with and when it is deleted.

We may suspend abusive, unlawful or security-threatening use. A merchant can stop using the service at any time by uninstalling the app from Shopify. Uninstalling ends access immediately; stored data is deleted when Shopify's shop redaction request arrives, as described in the privacy policy. Records already written into Shopify, such as inventory adjustments and transfers, stay in Shopify and are not reversed by uninstalling.

The app is provided without any warranty that it will meet a particular commercial requirement. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, Fleeta Limited is not liable for lost profit, lost sales or indirect loss arising from use of the app, including from inventory figures entered, imported or approved by the merchant.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
